Spending way too much time staring at vector points I sat down last Tuesday thinking that creating a simple logo for my side project wouldn’t take more than a few hours. I had this idea of a clean, geometric mark that looked professional enough for a small firm but still felt modern. I opened up…
Many professionals approach Photoshop tasks with a sense of dread, believing they need to master every single sub-menu to produce high-quality results. In reality, the most effective workflow relies on a few core tools that save time rather than adding complexity. When you spend three hours on a single image correction, you are likely missing…
Watching the trends and feeling lost I was looking at the recent Seven-Eleven bibimbap packaging collaborations with Sung Si-kyung the other day. They really went all in on the traditional patterns and the gujeolpan shape. It’s funny how marketing works; even a convenience store meal starts looking like a high-end design project when they focus…
Getting lost in the sea of free tools I spent the better part of last Sunday trying to fix some family photos that came out way blurrier than I wanted. I kept seeing these ads for AI auto-correction tools and automated kiosks, specifically things like the ‘Selfie Booth Smart’ systems or those new AI-powered photo…
Spending hours on pixelated files I really thought this would be quick. I had a folder full of old photos from a trip, and they looked fine on my phone screen, but once I moved them to my laptop, they were just… tiny. I tried to stretch them out in GIMP, thinking I could just…
Getting stuck on a simple mark I spent the better part of last Tuesday staring at a blank Photoshop canvas. I thought it would be easy—just a wordmark, something clean that looked like a professional academy or a small design office in Seoul. Everyone says it’s just about ‘brand identity,’ but when you’re sitting there…
Is automated photo retouching actually replacing the expert touch Many users now rely on smartphone built-in processors that perform instant adjustments the moment a shutter is pressed. These systems optimize exposure and dynamic range using high-speed algorithms designed to satisfy the average viewer. However, relying solely on automated output often results in an artificial, plastic…
I recently spent an entire weekend trying to fix a batch of photos for a family project, including some older, slightly faded ones and a few kid portraits from a local studio that weren’t framed quite right. Like many people in my field, I thought I could just leverage the latest AI tools or a…
Spending way too much time on a single frame I really thought that because we have all these new AI tools and high-end software these days, editing the photos from my kid’s first birthday party would be a breeze. The photos came out okay, but the lighting was inconsistent because the venue was one of…
